2007 Feast of Tabernacles
In Tennessee’s Cumberland Mountains
September 27-October 4
Yahweh’s Restoration Ministry has once again reserved the picturesque Pickett State Park’s group camp September 27 - October 7 for the Feast of Tabernacles 2007. The park is located in the upper Cumberland Mountains in north-central Tennessee near Jamestown. (Note: The Feast will end Thursday evening, Oct. 4, but because of the subsequent weekly Sabbath on Oct. 6, and the impossible breakdown of equipment, camp cleanup and travel we have reserved the camp through Sunday, Oct. 7, and encourage all attending the Feast to stay and observe the Sabbath with us.)
What to Expect at the Feast
Throughout the Feast there will be daily worship services, in-depth Bible studies, and many activities for the entire family. You will need appropriate dress clothes for services, preferably dresses for ladies and at least dress shirts and pants for men. Prepare for both warm and cool weather. Women also are to wear a headcovering of some type during services, 1Cor. 11. A time will be set aside at the Feast for immersions into Yahshua’s Name. If you desire to be baptized into the only Name given for salvation, now is your opportunity. Activities offered at or near Pickett State Park include: hiking, biking, softball, volleyball, and basketball.
Group Camp Lodging
The group camp at Pickett State Park has six large bunkhouse buildings. Each has two rooms with an optional third sleeping room between them. All bunkhouse rooms include electricity, heat and a/c and double sinks in most. Basic tenting along with spaces for RVs is available at the group camp. No immediate water or electrical hookups are located at the group camp.
Because of the limited number of rooms at the group camp single persons will be unable to reserve their own bunkhouse room. Therefore, those who are single staying in a bunkhouse room will need to share the room with other feastgoers (of the same gender). For those with a sleeping disorder that might affect others, the ministry suggests a tent or RV, or a cabin at the main park a mile away. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Reservations for the group camp are to be made through Yahweh’s Restoration Ministry. Pint out online form and return to YRM with $35 deposit. The cost for the bunkhouse rooms will be $200 for the entire stay of the Feast. Basic tenting and RVs at the group camp for individuals or families will be $75 for the entire stay of the Feast. Note: those staying at either the main park or group camp must send in a reservation form with a non-refundable, $35 supply charge, which will be applied toward meeting hall, kitchen, and bathroom supplies.
The group camp contains a large meeting hall with a communal kitchen. The kitchen includes a walk-in refrigerator and freezer, icemaker, microwave, coffeemaker, dishwasher and industrial grill and oven. For bathroom and shower faculties there are two bathhouse buildings centrally located at the group camp.
Main Park Lodging
In addition to the group camp, the ministry has also reserved several cabins at the main park (approximately one mile from the group camp) for the duration of the Feast. The following cabins and prices are currently available. For specific information on each cabin selection, please call Pickett State Park at (877) 260-0010.
Rustic Cabin (3 available): $65 weekdays, $78 weekends
Deluxe Cabin (2 available): $80 weekdays, $99 weekends
Chalet (3 available): $65 weekdays, $78 weekends
Villa (1 available): $105 weekdays, $125 weekends
Please be sure to reserve the cabin under your name using your credit card. This allows the ministry to be free from additional cost and liability at the main park. Note: all cabins at the main park will be reserved under Yahweh’s Restoration Ministry, so be sure to mention to the office staff when you call them that you are with Yahweh’s Restoration Ministry. These cabin reservations at the main park can be made by calling Pickett State Park at 877-260-0010. Camp policy requires YRM to drop any unreserved cabins by mid-August, so act now!
