Yahweh’s Restoration Ministry invites you to this year’s Feast of Tabernacles in southern Indiana at Shakamak State Park from the evening of 10/12 through 10/20 (note: since the seventh new moon is uncertain, the Ministry has reserved the group camp and cabins through 10/22 and would encourage all feastgoers to stay through this entire time). This pristine state park is located approximately thirty minutes south of Terre Haute and two hours southwest of Indianapolis. Shakamak offers all the needed facilities, including a large dining/meeting hall with additional facilities for children’s classes and other activities. Map to Shakamak >>
Lodging: The camp offers several options for lodging. The first option is for singles only. We have two bunkhouse buildings reserved for single men and women. The bunkhouse buildings come equipped with heat/air, stove, refrigerator and full bath. The cost is $500, which will be divided by the number of occupants plus registration fee. In addition, the ministry has also reserved 13 two-bedroom cabins, which are located approximately a mile from the group camp. The cabins come equipped with 1 full bed and 2 pairs of bunk beds, a stove and refrigerator, basin sink and wood burning stove. The cabins are not equipped with heat/air. There is also a maximum occupancy of six persons per cabin. The cost for a two-bedroom cabin is $515 for the entire Feast. To reduce liability, the total amount is due at registration and will be nonrefundable. Due to Shakamak’s cancellation policy, we will need to cancel any unused cabins by 9/01. So please register early for cabins. Please note: Shakamak policy also prohibits pets in all lodging, including the bunkhouse buildings and cabins. For the adventurous, the camp also offers two tenting options. The first option is the youth tent area, which is walking distance from the group camp and is reserved exclusively for Yahweh’s Restoration Ministry. The youth tent area offers only basic tenting (no electric or water) with vault toilets. Those staying at the youth camp will need to use the bathhouse at the group camp for showers. The cost for the youth tent area is $2 per person per day for the entire Feast stay. Only tents are permitted. Those who plan to reserve a two-bedroom cabin, a bunkhouse, or a site at the youth tent area, must register with and pay the ministry directly. The second option is the public campground, which is about a mile from the group camp. The public campground offers 122 electric sites and 42 non-electric sites. There are also a limited number of sites with full hookups for campers and RVs. For those interested in a site at the public campground, it is recommended that they contact the camp to reserve a site prior to the Feast (http://www.indiana.reserveworld.com/index.cfm). Please note that those who reserve a site at the public campground will still need to register with the ministry.
Meals: While meals will be the responsibility of individual Feastgoers, we will offer several meals throughout the Feast, including a fellowship meal on the high-day, several communal meals, ice cream social, pizza bake-off, BBQ and a special Sabbath meal with homemade soup and challah bread. Airport and Bus Connections: The closest airport to Shakamak State Park is the Indianapolis International Airport. For those taking Greyhound, the closest station to the camp is in Terre Haute.
Respect Our Teachings Yahweh’s Restoration Ministry asks all who attend to respect our doctrines and not to purposely spread discord. This includes the exclusive use of the Name Yahweh and Yahshua for the Father and Son. The Feast is a time to worship and to enjoy the company of like-minded believers, not to engage in doctrinal disputes. If you share a different belief from our Statement of Beliefs, we would ask that you discuss it with only YRM’s elders and not to share it with others. We pray that you will make plans NOW to join us for the 2011 Feast of Tabernacles from the evening of 10/12 through 10/22 at Shakamak State Park. The many instructional and inspirational messages along with the many family activities promise to make the upcoming Feast one for the ages! May Yahweh bless you in your desire to serve Him! Links:
